Hearth & Wheat1 is a family bakery run by the Alden family — three generations, one recipe book, and a lot of flour under the fingernails.
Who We Are
- Maren Alden — Head Baker, keeper of the sourdough starter (older than her children)
- Theo Alden — Pastry & Cakes
- Ida Alden — Front of house, the person who remembers your order before you say it
We believe bread should take the time it needs, and that a good bakery is a small anchor for the neighborhood around it.
